Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Garching have succeeded in recreating sun-hot plasma on Earth – and at hand-warm temperatures. We can use this so-called cold atmospheric plasma (KAP) without burning our fingers. The mission: to destroy germs and help wounds heal faster.
